Clay Bath FAQs – Kids Clear™ & Blessed Earth®

Frequently Asked Questions – Kids Clear™ & Blessed Earth® Clay Baths

Everything you need to know about using our pure, effective bentonite clay for detox baths—whether you're using Kids Clear™ for children or Blessed Earth® for adults.

💧 How Do Bentonite Clay Baths Work?

When mixed into warm water, bentonite clay creates a mineral-rich solution that helps draw out toxins, heavy metals, and impurities through the skin. The warmth of the water opens the pores, while the clay’s negative charge binds positively charged toxins, allowing them to be eliminated.

📦 What Comes With My Order?

  • Blessed Earth®: One 4 lb. resealable bag (enough for 5–10 baths). Usage instructions printed on the label.
  • Kids Clear™: One 2.5 lb. jar (approximately 6 cups; good for 5–10 child-size baths). Scoop not included.

🛁 What Materials Will I Need?

  • Non-metallic stirring utensil (wood or plastic preferred)
  • Timer or clock
  • Electrolyte drink for after the bath (Emergen-C®, Pedialyte, or ConcenTrace® Drops)

⚖️ How Much Clay Should I Use?

  • Kids: ½ to 1 cup per bath
  • Adults: ½ to 2 cups per bath

Usage can vary depending on weight, health, and sensitivity. Detailed guidance is provided with your order.

📅 How Often Can I Use a Clay Bath?

  • Kids: Once every 5–7 days
  • Adults: 1 to 2 times per week, with at least 72 hours between baths

🔄 What Should I Do After the Bath?

After a clay bath, it’s common to feel tired. Replenish minerals with an electrolyte drink and consider giving extra vitamins or trace minerals, especially for children. Rinse thoroughly and apply a gentle moisturizer to prevent dryness.

♨️ How Warm Should the Bathwater Be?

Use warm, not hot, water—ideally no hotter than 103°F (39.4°C). It should feel like a baby’s bath, not a hot tub.

🥄 What’s the Best Way to Mix the Clay?

  1. Begin filling the tub with hot water.
  2. Slowly sprinkle the clay into the running water (like powdered sugar).
  3. Stir briskly with a whisk or your hand to break up clumps.
  4. Add cold water to reach your desired temperature.

🚽 Are Clay Baths Safe for Septic Systems?

Blessed Earth® users: If you have a septic system, we recommend using a foot bath instead of a full-body soak. Always avoid flushing clumps of clay down the drain.

⚠️ Safety Precautions & Detox Reactions

Clay detox baths are generally safe, but some users may experience temporary effects like:

  • Fatigue
  • Nausea or flu-like symptoms
  • Skin irritation or rash
  • Lightheadedness or vomiting (more rare)

🚫 Do not use clay baths if the person:

  • Has the flu, a viral/bacterial infection, or is currently ill
  • Has heart or blood pressure conditions without consulting a doctor
  • Is taking prescription medications unless cleared by a physician (clay may interfere with absorption)

Do not ingest the clay. Always consult your healthcare provider before starting a detox routine for yourself or your child.
